We will be operating a playscheme at Dovedale School this summer school holidays. The club will run from 8am to 5.45pm on Monday 28th July to Friday 22nd August 2008. The scheme aims to meet the demand for quality full day care for children registered at our after school clubs and others in our area.

The children aged 4-12 years old will be provided with the opportunity to meet up with children of the same age in a safe, secure, fun and challenging environment.

Our 100 place holiday clubs ceased to operate in 2006 and this playscheme is an attempt to deliver quality holiday care on a smaller scale as requested by our parents/carers.

We aim to deliver a successful holiday club where we have full use of large halls, kitchen facilities, welfare room, cloakroom areas, and secure playgrounds.

Out of Hours Kids’ Club Ltd has been operating for over 13 years, gained Investor In People recognition, and Quality Assurance accreditation through Aiming High Quality Assurance.

Three of our staff have been previous winners of Playworker of the Year.

Why choose holiday club?

Holiday clubs have a different atmosphere and structure to after school clubs. The staff team has been hand picked from our pool of staff for their ability to adapt and react to the needs and wants of children during a ten hour day.

All staff are playwork experienced. 50% of the staff hold current playwork/early years level 3 qualifications and are trained in core areas such as Paediatric First Aid, food hygiene, health and safety and safeguarding children. In addition they are involved in the activity day provision, cookery clubs and relax kids’ sessions held during school and after school sessions.

If you are eligible for Childcare element of Working Families Tax Credits, we are OFSTED registered and you may be able to claim back up to 70% of your childcare costs.

We accept many employers’ childcare vouchers, which has the added benefit of a reduction in National Insurance contributions, another money saver!

We open at 8am and close at 545pm, with the flexibility of a later drop off if your working day allows it. Structured play opportunities take place between 9am and 5pm and include, art & crafts, sports, team games, circle games, musical games and parachute games.

There will also be opportunities to take part in cookery, relaxation classes, quizzes, modelling with recycled materials, competitions and prize giving. Free play will allow the children time to choose how to spend their time, reading, playing board games, drawing or making crafts.

Physical play with hoops, balls, skipping ropes and obstacle courses.

Imaginative play with shops, dolls, dressing up, cars, action figures and much more. Constructive play using Lego Duplo, K’nex, Stickle bricks, Blocks, Recycled materials and Magnetix.

Creative play with model magic, papier-mâché, paint, glitter, bead art, large construction, themed opportunities, play dough and gloop!

A snack is provided each day. This will include: fruit juice, water or milk, daily variety of seasonal fruit, and savoury items such as such as toast, wraps, crackers and cheese, crudités and dips

Packed lunch is required

The Company is currently working towards ‘Aiming Higher’ Quality Assurance accreditation

What are you doing with your children this summer?

During the summer holidays this year, Out of Hours Kids’ Club is operating a holiday playscheme at Dovedale school. The Company aims to provide a quality provision, where your child/children will be engaged in non-stop play opportunities and learning experiences.

Cared for by CRB (enhanced) checked, playwork qualified staff in a secure environment.

Socialising with school friends, making new friends and taking part in a wide range of play opportunities adapted to suit the individual needs of each child. Come and join us, have some fun.

£22 PER DAY—£100 per week

£40 PER DAY— 2 CHILDREN

£55 PER DAY— 3 CHILDREN

Booking forms are available online and also from our admin centre or at any of our after school clubs.

Bookings will only be accepted with full payment for the days chosen. Cheques to be made payable to Out of Hours Kids’ Club Ltd. Vouchers acceptable from Accor, Sodexho, Busy Bees and others.
