SUMMER HOLIDAYS PLAYSCHEME 2009

INVESTOR IN PEOPLE
We had a successful re accreditation for Investor in People 2007. We have now achieved during 1997, 2001, 2004 and 2007
The Company follows a training programme for our staff, after an appraisal with each member of staff. A Training plan is then devised for the individuals. This is not only for mandatory training but also for subjects of interest, such as epilepsy awareness, ADHD, Islam awareness and epipen training.
TIME TO RE-REGISTER!
During June each year, our current parents at breakfast and after school club are given new registration forms to complete for the new school year starting in September. A condition of our Ofsted registration is that accurate information such as contact numbers and names, medical information and parental permissions are obtained from parents/carers. Fees for the forthcoming year and payment methods are advised too. We aim to complete this task within a two week period which enables us to assess how many places we have to offer our new parents for their children staring school.
The re-registration process is £10 per child, which is to cover the administration process. Copies of registration forms are held at our administration office in case of emergencies, and a complete up to date file s held on site for the start of the new school year. The information is referred to often when the need arises. Ofsted inspectors can view our files at any time.

DROP OFF AT BREAKFAST CLUB
Please do not arrive earlier than the opening time. Most clubs have to prepare the dining area, and some schools have to re-arrange the furniture every morning. It would be dangerous for children to be around when moving tables and chairs, and nipping in and out of the kitchen with items for breakfast. In addition to this, we cannot accept children without two members of staff being present.
Please actually hand over your children to a member of staff at breakfast club. Do not leave them to walk into the setting on their own. It is possible that the child/children may decide to go home and we would not be responsible for their actions without a physical handover!
Infant school children are handed over to their class teachers. Junior school children are allowed to go on to the school yard to be with their friends 10 minutes before school if the weather is fine. If it is raining the children go into school early as the other children do. WE NEED YOUR SIGNATURE FOR PERMISSION TO ALLOW THE JUNIORS THIS PRIVILEGE.
PICK UP FROM AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
We would respectfully suggest that you aim to collect your children five minutes before the end of the session. This ensures that you have sufficient time to talk to the staff if there is a need, collect your children’s belonging’s and allow the staff to be off the school premises in time for the school closure. Many of our staff has children too. If you are late, our staff as even later collecting their children. For persistent lateness we have the right to fine parents for every 15 minutes they are late. We do not want to do this! If parents/carers are persistently late we have the right to terminate our contract.
The above information is not meant to scare parents who very occasionally could be genuinely late for a valid reason. Site Managers would just request that you contact them as soon as you know you are going to have a problem. The information helps us to pacify a child if they are the only one left at the club.
SICKNESS AND ABSENCE
If your child/children are off sick please endeavour to telephone your site manager or the admin office before 230pm.
