| HOLIDAY
PLAYSCHEME 2008 |
After a successful pilot Playscheme at Dovedale Primary
School during February half term school holidays, we operated again
at Dovedale School in Allerton during the Easter school holidays
too. The children had a great time and the parents were very happy
with the service.
As a result....
May Half term will be covered at
Dovedale Infant School from Tuesday 27th May until Friday 30th

AIMING
HIGHER |
 |
Out of
Hours Kids’ Club is currently preparing for the ‘Aiming
Higher’ quality assurance scheme. Each site will be assessed
individually over the next 18 months, and one of the areas
covered is our partnership with parents/carers, we would therefore
welcome any comments or suggestions on how we can improve our
service. We are also aiming for ‘Investors in People’ re-accreditation
in July. |

TO RE-REGISTER! |
| We
have reached that time of year again when you will need to
re-register your children, site managers have new registration
forms available. Please read our new payment policy carefully. |

CRAZY
CREATURES |
|
Publication
of ‘Crazy Creatures’ (which includes entries from
some of our Runnymede St Edward’s children), has been
delayed. We will probably receive our copies of the book in
June. Dovedale children have recently had some successful submissions
into the ‘My Family’ edition. |
| ST
MICHAEL PILOT HOLIDAY SCHEME |
The
company is planning a pilot holiday scheme at St Michael
in the Hamlet school. As a company we felt that there was
a gap in the service provision during holidays. We are working
in conjunction with St Michaels, who requested that we look
at the situation, as they are willing for us to use their
facilities. The scheme is going to be piloted for children
already registered with Out of Hours Kids’ Club and
for a 2 week period only. We will be limited to 40 children
with St Michael children given priority. We will
pass on further details once we have Ofsted approval and
it is certain that the scheme is going ahead.
We are aiming
to look at holiday provision again at other settings if St
Michael’s scheme is successful. |

OPERATING
TIMES |
|
May we
remind parents/carers of our opening/closing times. Our insurance
covers us to operate on school sites from 8am – 9am for
breakfast clubs, and from 3pm – 5.45/6pm (depending on
operating hours of individual sites). We are not allowed to
take the children in before 8am, and should not have any children
in our care after closing time. |
| SICKNESS
AND ABSENCE |
Will
parents/carers please endeavour to phone the office before
2.30pm with messages about attendance for that day. If you
cannot get through to the office, we advise you to leave
a message at school. |
